A charming house and a lovely garden. The quality of visitor information made it extremely easy to plan activities during my stay
The Coach House is a short walk from the centre of Woodbridge but, during your stay, you might like to take a slightly longer route into and out of town, enjoying the tranquility, scenery and wildlife alongside the River Deben.
Arriving by road. Leave the northbound A12 at the roundabout signposted for Woodbridge on the B1438. Go straight over the mini-roundabout. At the top of the hill, you will see the Duke of York pub. The Coach House is opposite at 121 Ipswich Road. With our large green gates, we are the second house on the right after the road 'California'. www.maps.google.co.uk
There are three car parking bays on the gravel drive, as indicated above. Secure storage for cycles is available. Arriving by rail. Woodbridge is just 90 minutes by train from London Liverpool Street, via Ipswich, and 70 minutes from Norwich. www.greateranglia.co.uk The Coach House is less than a mile (about 1 km) from Woodbridge Railway Station but, while this is Suffolk, we are on a hill and some visitors might not want to take this route with luggage after their journey. There are taxis available at the station (M&R Cars 01394 386191) or buses leave from Deben Swimming Pool and stop outside the Duke of York at Barrack Corner. www.traveline.org.uk
